Week 20 - Banana

HALF WAY BABY!!! We are now at twenty weeks. TWO-ZERO!!! What a huge milestone for us to hit, little bean. :) I look back and am amazed that five months have already passed. I remember when I found out at 3-4 weeks, it seemed like it would be foreverrrrrr until I could spill the beans and tell everyone about you. 

Side note: it's been pretty awesome not having a period for 5 months. Obviously that's not the highlight of pregnancy, but still - pretty awesome. =P

This week you are the size of a banana and are getting closer to a lb (not quite, but you finally hit the double digits in ounces!). Daddy and I will see you at our next appointment, which is next week. We are so excited to see your cute little self again, and hope that everything is still okay. If my appetite is any indication of your development, you are doing just fine. ;) This week, more people are noticing my tummy - mainly because I am starting to feel more comfortable wearing fitted dresses, versus looking for the baggiest piece of clothing I can find.

Last week, I felt you kick for the first time. This week, I felt a lot of movement but not too many strong ones. However, it's more constant and I'm not sure what's going on in there - but it feels like you're having a party! It's been a stressful week at work and I've noticed that you have moved around a lot more. I wonder if you can sense mommy's stress? You like to hang out on my left side because every time I lay down to go to bed, I can feel you poking out a bit. Daddy really really really wants to feel you, so please kick as hard as you can next time you feel his hands on mommy's tummy. Daddy rubs my tummy every night and will sometimes poke it to wake you up. =P

This week, my energy is fantastic - minus the long days at work. I have been so productive; cleaning the house, organizing your clothes/things, planning what still needs to be done for you (i.e., big items to buy, nursery, etc.), finalizing the baby registry, etc. I finally convinced daddy that it would be okay for me to paint your room - so after work today, mommy is going to be painting your nursery pink pink pink!!! :)

20 weeks... I can hardly believe it and contain my excitement. Although daddy is in a bit of a freak-out because the next 20 weeks will fly by too quickly, I am hoping they really do so I can hold you in my arms. Your fur-siblings are excited to meet you too - at least that's what it seems like since they are super attached to my tummy. :) They love you already!
